1st Shift Sanitation Associate

Description

Perform daily cleaning and sanitization tasks, which may include cleaning of equipment, parts, floors, walls, and surfaces of equipment. Also, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas and facility.

• Trash Removal: Empty and clean trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to waste management guidelines.
• Cleaning & Hygiene: Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, to maintain a sterile environment.
• Cleaning Delicate Surfaces: Clean glass surfaces and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
• Cleaning Supplies: Ensuring there are adequate cleaning supplies in stock and that they are in good working condition. Report any shortages or damages to shift supervisor or member of management.
• Reporting Repairs: Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor on shift or member of management. Ensuring a safe and functional work environment.
• Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
• Teamwork: Aid and support to other staff members or departments when necessary, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Other: Performs other related duties as requested by shift supervisor or member of management.

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience: Knowledge or previous experience in sanitation, occupational health & safety, and chemical material handling is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 8–12-hour shifts and can lift/carry up to 50–55 lbs.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise instructions and monitor multiple variables simultaneously.
• Communication & Teamwork: Good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, supervisor, and management. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
