Pest Technician

Overview

We are a member of the Rentokil family, providing Food Safety & Integrated Pest Management services to a niche market across the U.S. This role is focused on performing pest management services for commercial food and related environments.

• Identify and eliminate pests from commercial properties through thorough inspections, treatment application, and preventive measures.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and provide guidance on reducing future infestations.
• Build and maintain customer relationships, schedule appointments, and support sales to existing and new customers.
• Maintain, stock, and troubleshoot pest control equipment and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Operate a company‑provided service vehicle safely and perform routine maintenance as required.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients, deliver quality inspections and treatments, and support clients’ food safety management systems.
• Adapt to variable hours, including weekends, as required by the role.

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent education and experience).
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills for following product label instructions.
• Customer‑facing experience preferred.
• Ability to drive and operate a vehicle safely; good knowledge of safety regulations.
• Client‑focused, self‑motivated, with effective time‑management and problem‑solving skills.

• Hourly pay: $18.00 – $25.00, plus potential overtime, incentives, commissions, and route assignment bonuses.
