We are seeking an experienced Regional Director of Facilities & Maintenance to lead facilities operations across a multi-site, multi-state healthcare services portfolio. This leader will oversee maintenance strategy, capital planning support, facilities standards, and operational performance across the region.

The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare facilities leadership experience
, a hands-on understanding of multi-site operations, and the ability to train, mentor, and support Maintenance Directors and site-based teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead regional facilities and maintenance operations across multiple healthcare sites and states.
  • Provide oversight, coaching, and mentoring to Maintenance Directors and site-level facilities leaders.
  • Partner with site leadership to assess building conditions, operational risks, and maintenance priorities.
  • Help develop, review, and support capital expenditure plans for facility improvements, replacement cycles, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure facilities are safe, functional, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs, life safety readiness, and response to urgent maintenance issues.
  • Partner with operations, clinical leadership, and executive teams to support business continuity and resident/patient experience.
  • Assist in vendor management, contractor coordination, and project oversight as needed.
  • Monitor maintenance performance metrics, budget adherence, and capital project progress.
  • Support regulatory surveys, inspections, and readiness activities related to facilities and environment of care.
  • Contribute to long-term facilities planning and regional infrastructure strategy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience in facilities and maintenance leadership within healthcare services or a similarly regulated multi-site environment.
  • Proven experience managing or supporting multiple facilities across multiple states.
  • Strong background in maintenance operations, capital planning, and facilities lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop site-based maintenance leaders.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance, safety, life safety, and environment of care standards.
  • Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly across the assigned region.
Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, senior living, home health, behavioral health, or related healthcare settings.
  • Experience supporting capex planning, facility upgrades, and renovation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, fire/life safety, and applicable healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on field support.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and external contractors.
