Wastewater Preventative Maintenance

The Wastewater Preventative Maintenance position involves duties associated with the repair, inspection and maintenance of buildings and process equipment at the wastewater treatment plant.

Essential Job Functions
  • Tracking and logging inventory, ordering supplies, organizing spare parts and equipment, data entry.
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance activities to prevent unexpected failures.
  • Cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, adjustments, repairs, inspecting and replacing parts, and partial or complete overhauls on equipment and machinery.
  • Operates light equipment including tractors, lawnmowers, pumps, and equipment transport vehicles.
  • General grounds maintenance including mowing lawn, trimming shrubs, edging sidewalks and driveways, snow removal, and painting.
  • Performs other related duties as required/assigned.
Qualifications

Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED. A valid Ohio Driver’s license with a safe driving record and a drug screening are required. Familiarity with basic maintenance and operational tasks involving manual labor, preventative care, general repairs, maintaining records, and utilizing tools and equipment to make and/or modify parts or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities

Candidates for this position should possess experience in routine plant equipment maintenance, equipment lubrication schedules, asset management in a factory/industrial setting, and techniques to proactively avoid unplanned equipment downtime. Familiarity with wastewater treatment is preferable. Familiarity with electronic work orders for maintenance. Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to have effective working relationships with fellow coworkers, public officials, the general public, contractors, consultants, and customers is preferred.

This position may require overtime, shift, weekend and holiday work.

Comments

Pay: $20.40 - $34.51 per hour
