OpportunityFull‑time Driver Applicator – Covington, TN Retail location.
Summary / ObjectiveResponsible for providing application services in compliance with state and federal regulations, offering quality customer service, and maintaining a professional image.
Essential Functions- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Handle and store hazardous materials (pesticides, fertilizers, chemicals) in compliance with safety regulations.
- Use appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) when working with hazardous materials.
- Provide quality application services to customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain a quality and professional image with customers and be responsive to their needs.
- Obtain and maintain a DOT commercial driver’s license (CDL) and registration, complying with state and federal requirements and annual updates.
- Obtain and maintain state commercial applicator certification and stay current with requirements.
- Perform daily inspection of equipment prior to field applications and post‑application inspections.
- Maintain safety equipment in optimum condition and follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Apply the correct labeling, decals and DOT numbers to equipment and tanks.
- Maintain the appropriate applicator and equipment logs and ensure they are kept up to date.
- Perform the required preventive maintenance program recommended for the equipment.
- Comply with regulatory guidelines in tank mixing, rinsing, and washing down both in the field and at the plant.
- Assist other employees with duties when not actively driving, as assigned by the supervisor (e.g., filling orders, inventory, driving forklift, general equipment maintenance, grounds work, housekeeping).

No supervisor responsibilities.
Required Qualifications- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.
- High School graduate or GED (experience may offset education).
- Must obtain and maintain required state commercial applicator certification.
- 3+ years of experience in the agriculture industry or related industry preferred.
- Proficiency in job and behaviors that align with GreenPoint Ag Core Values (teamwork, helping other employees).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers.
- Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation, including shipping/applicator orders, tickets, product labels, MSDS sheets, warning signs and emergency procedures.
- Basic mechanical skills for daily maintenance of equipment preferred.
- Ability to maintain customer service and represent GreenPoint Ag in a professional and courteous manner.
Perform duties outdoors in an agricultural setting with extreme temperatures, adverse weather, dust, loud noises, jarring motions, and a hazardous environment requiring regular use of PPE.
Physical DemandsRequires good physical condition to regularly lift more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, perform preventive maintenance activities, and assist other plant/warehouse workers. Frequently medium to heavy workload involving walking, standing, lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
TravelIncludes travel to sites; travel outside the assigned area is very rare; training travel may be required.
Other Duties in the Spirit of GreenPoint Success and TeamworkDuring off‑season or as needed, employees may be required to perform additional duties such as clean‑up, landscaping, maintenance, painting, pressure washing, and material handling.
