The Custodial Venue Technician performs custodial tasks for assigned county event venues located in Crestview, Florida
. The role ensures that venues are safe, attractive, clean, and ready for events, providing staff and the public with a welcoming environment. This position involves operating cleaning equipment, maintaining facility safety, and supporting event logistics to uphold the high standards of the venue.

• Assist with venue cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness before, during, and after events.
• Perform custodial tasks such as emptying waste receptacles, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing floors, shampooing carpets, washing windows, dusting furniture, cleaning vents, fans, and walls, and sanitizing restrooms and kitchen facilities.
• Use electrical cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, shampoo machines, high-speed buffers, and ride-on-floor scrubbers.
• Safely and productively use appropriate chemicals and cleaners according to instructions to ensure safety for all.
• Ensure assigned areas are properly open daily and secured upon completion of tasks, including locking doors and windows and turning off electrical units.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed, respond to emergency situations like spills or broken windows, and perform minor facility maintenance tasks.
• Clean equipment and tools after use, maintain cleanliness and order in storage areas, and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Operate vehicles as part of job duties and support event setup as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall maintenance and operation of the venue.

• Previous experience operating large-scale custodial-floor equipment.
• Preferred:
  Experience in a commercial custodial environment.
• Physical requirements include operating various hand-held and electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners, stripers, waxers, etc., and exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force as needed.

• Pay rate: $15.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
