Aircraft Mechanic I
You will be an Aircraft Mechanic I for our Special Operations Forces Global Logistic Support Services (SOF GLSS) team, based in Crestview, FL. What you will be doing Our team is responsible for modifying military aircraft and ground vehicles to meet the evolving operational needs of the SOF community. You will be performing aircraft modifications and reading and interpreting complex aircraft mechanical drawings.

- This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of sheet metal experience performing aircraft modifications or demonstrated aptitude. Strong aptitude to read and interpret complex aircraft mechanical drawings - blueprints, TCTO's, supplemental work instructions, service bulletins, installation drawings, ETC. Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Proficient in utilizing electronic devices (laptop, tablet, etc.) for data management, work authorization, and interpretation of instructions.
Desired skills Heavy modification, integration, or repair sheet metal experience on aircraft. Ability to work lity to maintain respirator fitness qualification. Ability to perform confined space entry. Experience with C-130 aircraft. Active Secret clearance.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
