At Elim, teaching is more than a job - it's a calling. Every day, you'll step into a classroom where small victories are big celebrations, where students are known deeply, and where your work truly changes lives.
We're looking for educators who lead with heart, believe in every student's potential, and find joy in meaningful, mission-driven work. If that's you, you belong here.
Why Teachers Choose Elim
At Elim, we care for our staff intentionally-so they can thrive professionally, personally, and spiritually. You'll join a team that lifts each other up, celebrates often, and creates a workplace filled with purpose and joy.
From daily encouragement to fun moments-like ice cream trucks, painting parties, and a full Thanksgiving feast-you'll feel what it's like to be part of a community that truly values you.
What You'll Do as an Autism Special Education Teacher
You'll make a lasting difference every single day by:
- Design and deliver highly structured, individualized instruction tailored to each student's needs
- Implement and monitor IEP goals focused on communication, social interaction, behavior, and daily living skills
- Use evidence-based practices such as visual supports, task analysis, prompting strategies, and reinforcement systems
- Support students with complex sensory, behavioral, and communication needs, including nonverbal learners
- Collect and analyze student data to guide instruction and measure progress
- Develop and implement behavior intervention strategies in collaboration with related service providers
- Create predictable routines and structured environments that promote student success
- Lead, coach, and collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure consistency and effectiveness in the classroom
- Partner with families and multidisciplinary teams to support each student holistically
At Elim, our mission is clear: to ensure children and adults with disabilities are empowered to connect, engage, and thrive. We believe every individual has God-given value and purpose-and as a teacher, you help bring that to life each day. This is work that matters. Work that stays with you. Work that changes lives-including your own.
