Role Description

This part‑time Machine Operator role is an on‑site position located in Crestwood, KY. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor production equipment such as screw machines and CNC turning centers to produce precision metal components according to specifications. Responsibilities include loading materials, performing basic machine adjustments, measuring parts with hand tools and gauges, and maintaining quality standards throughout each run.

The role involves following safety procedures, completing production and inspection records, and communicating any equipment or quality issues to supervisors. The Machine Operator will also assist with routine cleaning of machines and work areas, support changeovers between jobs, and collaborate with team members to meet production schedules.

Qualifications
  • Experience operating production equipment (e.g., screw machines, CNC lathes, or similar machinery) and basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as work orders, blueprints, and basic dimensional drawings.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and basic quality inspection practices.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow standardized work instructions.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a shop environment.
  • Prior experience in metalworking, precision components, or machining is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
