Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hotel Sales Manager role based in Crestwood, IL. The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for generating and growing hotel revenue through proactive sales efforts, including identifying and pursuing new business, maintaining relationships with existing accounts, and negotiating group and corporate contracts. The role includes preparing proposals, responding to inquiries, conducting site visits, and coordinating with operations to ensure a seamless guest experience for groups and events.
The Hotel Sales Manager collaborates closely with marketing and revenue management to develop and execute sales strategies, analyze market trends, and optimize pricing and inventory. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate sales reports, attending networking events, and representing the property and IPD Hospitality in a professional and service-oriented manner.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and effective presentation abilities.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on building relationships, resolving concerns, and enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Candidates should possess proven Sales and Sales Management skills, including lead generation, account management, contract negotiation, and achieving revenue targets.
- Candidates should possess Marketing skills related to promoting hotel services, supporting campaigns, and understanding market positioning.
- Additional qualifications:
experience in hotel or hospitality sales, knowledge of local and regional markets, and familiarity with hotel sales systems (e.g., CRM, PMS). - Strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and flexibility to attend events or client meetings as needed.
- Preferred education:
bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
