ResponsibilitiesThe Orkin Commercial Service Technician commits to safely and professionally providing the highest level of protection and service to customers on a designated service route. The role includes route operations, scheduling, issue diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Complete award‑winning training to learn the skills and knowledge required to serve customers.
- Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
- Follow a route schedule and daily operation schedule within an assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer’s location.
- Operate a company vehicle safely and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and equipment.
- Conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
- Serve as a problem solver for each customer with empathy, listening to and understanding their needs and recommending the most efficient and innovative solution.
- Meet with customers in their businesses or homes to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services that would give them peace of mind about their pest management program.
- Inspect the interior and exterior of the customer’s property (training provided).
- Communicate with customers to explain actions taken, ensure satisfaction, and discuss additional services that would give them peace of mind about their pest management program.
- Complete all required service‑related documentation in a handheld device provided for speed and accuracy.
- Estimated compensation of 50,000 – 60,000 USD annually.
- Company vehicle with gas card provided upon route assignment.
- Extensive paid training up front and on an ongoing basis; no prior pest control experience required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
- Ability to work in the field independently, manage route‑based assignments, and interact with customers inside businesses and homes.
- Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including an OSHA‑compliant respirator when required.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
