Position: Medical Delivery Driver - Crestwood, IL $17.25

Medical Driver – Crestwood

$17.25 hourly – Full Time (Monday – Friday)

Shift: MTWTHF 1pm–9:30pm (and $1.00 hourly increase for hours worked after 10pm)

Responsibilities
  • Drive company‑owned vehicle to safely transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x‑rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
  • Operate handheld scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
  • Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
  • Maintain a professional image to clients and the public.
  • Load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment.
  • Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
  • Conduct pre/post‑trip vehicle inspections and keep vehicle clean, neat and orderly.
  • Adapt to route duties that may vary based on client and business needs.
  • Show teamwork, cooperation and adaptability with teammates and clients.
  • Build and nurture a collaborative Med Speed team culture.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • 19 years old with an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
  • Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
  • Familiarity working with and adapting to technology.
  • Ability to follow procedures closely.
  • Efficiency in routing between multiple points.
  • Pass initial and random drug & alcohol screening.
  • Drive a non‑commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent driving history.
  • Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination (if required).
  • Regularly lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
  • Lift items from storage racks.
  • Comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods.
