Housekeeper – Part‑time weekends at Covenant Living, Cromwell, CT.

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and using departmental standards and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, plunging toilets, and replacing batteries as needed.
• Maintain all floors, including sweeping, dry and wet mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, and buffing as scheduled or assigned.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills that are observed or reported.
• Perform project cleaning as assigned (e.g., walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows).
• Remove trash and recyclables from collection points, public areas, and outside entrance areas and transport to dumpster or trash pick‑up areas.
• Replace trash liners as needed.
• Deep‑clean rooms or units as needed during transfers or discharges in accordance with department standards.
• Move furniture as required and assist with resident moves during transfer or discharge.
• Participate in campus linen program, including distributing, collecting, counting, and preparing for pick‑up as well as handling incoming linen.
• Assist in making beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, reporting any repair needs or conducting repairs if appropriate.
• Observe and report the need for repairs to facilities, furniture, fixtures, etc.
• Assist in receiving campus supplies and deliveries and putting away supplies as needed.
• Assist with campus snow and ice salting as required.

• Some high school education.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written, with residents and staff.
• Dependable, with common sense and the ability to organize a daily cleaning schedule to complete each day's assignments.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within standard policies and procedures, with limited direct supervision.
• Interest in and desire to work with older adults is desired.
• Availability to work weekends.

Compensation Pay Range: $ - $
