Full-Time Maintenance Assistant – Crown Point Health Campus
Are you skilled in general maintenance and passionate about creating a safe, comfortable environment for others? Join our team at Crown Point Health Campus, a well-established Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facility. We’re seeking a Maintenance Assistant who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventive maintenance and repair on facility equipment, furnishings, and grounds
- Follow established safety protocols and maintenance procedures
- Complete and maintain timely work orders
- Maintain clean, safe, and serviceable equipment
- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance (weekly, monthly, quarterly, seasonal)
- Safely store and handle hazardous materials
- Assist with painting and upkeep of the facility
- Immediately report and correct unsafe conditions or defective equipment
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions to operations
- Be available for emergency facility needs as required
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and OSHA regulations
- Familiarity with tools, appliances, and devices used in facility maintenance
- Manual dexterity and strong problem-solving abilities
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and standing for long periods
- Strong experience and skill in painting
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Full-Time
