Housekeeper​/Laundry Aide

Pay Range: $24.00 - $26.00

Monday-Friday (AM Schedule)

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and / or Assistant Supervisor performs housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines in assigned areas. Is responsible for the neat and clean appearance of resident's rooms and common areas by performing the following duties.

• Provide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co‑workers and vendors to ensure satisfaction.
• Dust furniture; wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
• Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies and hallways.
• Rearange small furniture as needed.
• Sweep, scrub and wax floors.
• Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
• Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• Clean lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, elevators, elevator landings, stairways and hallways as scheduled.
• Report when equipment, structures, or furniture need repair; complete maintenance or housekeeping orders if necessary.
• Assist with laundry and linens as assigned.
• Perform final cleanings for new residents as needed.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed.
• Perform all stages of linen processing: collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, unloading, ironing, folding, storing and delivering.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area.
• Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents or special needs arise.
• Follow department safety standards, practice safe body‑mechanic techniques, and participate in campus‑wide safety programs.
• Wear PPE/safety equipment as required; report any safety hazards or accidents.
• Attend all mandatory in‑service meetings and comply with all department and facilities policies and procedures.
• Follow safe work habits to prevent injuries to self, residents, visitors, or other employees.

• High School diploma or GED.
