Supply Technician

* Supply Technician (H)

Bowhead seeks a Supply Technician to support a newly awarded contract in Dahlgren, VA. This contract will provide configuration management (CM), logistics, mechanical and electrical engineering technician services, field service support, project management, drafting and design, technical writing, and acquisition services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Unmanned & Expeditionary Weapon Systems (H40) Division and Intelligent Automation (H60) Division.

** Responsibilities*
* Job Duties to include but are not limited to:

+ Performs procurement, strict accountability of inventoried parts, and some kitting

+ Purchases supplies and materials through vendors on the open market

+ Uses contract awards and/or other standard forms of purchasing

+ Distributes supplies to local customer locations

+ Understands procurement policies including knowledge of vendors, procurement forms, and shipping and receiving procedures.

+ Maintains accurate inventory with full accountability of on-hand supplies and material

+ Processes and tracks project procurements in a prompt, cooperative, and efficient manner from pre-order through invoice payment

+ Other duties as assigned

** Qualifications*
* + High school diploma or passing score on the General Education Development (GED) exam

+ Three (3) years of experience in the area of purchase and inventory functions.

+ Experience includes purchasing supplies, materials and equipment through vendors on the open market, contract awards and/or other standard forms of purchasing, and tracking of project procurements and inventory form pre-order through invoice payment.

+ Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point

+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

+ Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Physical Demands:

+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

+ Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

+ Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
