Ascentec Engineering is hiring a Building & Grounds Custodian for our Dallas, Oregon location.

The Building & Grounds Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary building environment by performing routine tasks including daily cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance duties throughout the office and machining facility. The selected candidate will maintain cleaning supply stock and report any major repair needs or safety hazards to management. The role requires a self‑motivated, proactive mindset with a strong work ethic.

This on‑site position at our Dallas, Oregon facility is not remote or hybrid and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Perform daily cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Refill and maintain cleaning and hygiene supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
• Assist with set‑up and tear‑down for company events or meetings.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager promptly.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and cleaning protocols, including handling cleaning chemicals safely.
• Maintain proper storage and labeling of cleaning products in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
• Support facility readiness for inspections and audits by keeping areas neat and compliant.
• Assist with basic building upkeep such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, moving furniture and paint touch‑ups.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff for larger repair needs.
• Must understand and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal documentation standards (e.g., ISO, ITAR).
• Regular, predictable attendance required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least six months experience in a janitorial, custodial, or similar facilities cleaning role.

• Knowledge of cleaning practices, techniques, tools, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures when handling chemicals.

• Involves exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and noise.
• May walk through machine shop environment (concrete floors and loud sounds).
• May walk through office environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
