WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGMaintenance Technicians perform maintenance on our equipment and facilities. They make sure our facilities run smoothly by following our preventative maintenance schedule, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical issues, keeping parts stocked, and responding quickly to repair requests. Maintenance technicians must be safety-minded, have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, and be able to prioritize work assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Performs skilled maintenance and repair, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines and other facility equipment.
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Performs maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs of 480V 3 phase electrical control circuits, motor control circuits, device control circuits and PLC control systems.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Reads and interprets schematics, blueprints and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
- Performs routine maintenance and minor repair of building interior and exterior to include minor plumbing, carpentry, interior lighting such as ballasts and lamps, interior fans, etc.
- Performs minor routine maintenance on HVAC (changing air filters etc.).
- Maintains records to ensure accountability of time, parts, and repairs to meet regulatory compliance and budget constraints.
- Communicates with management and other maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
- Makes repairs to tools and equipment as needed.
- Maintains and installs electrical systems and fixtures.
- Uses hand and power tools and ensures tools and equipment are maintained and repaired.
- Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities.
- Complies with company safety policies and maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms and safety policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience to include electrical, mechanical and PLC; preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Formal industrial maintenance training
- Maintenance experience in food manufacturing
