Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all rolling stock, machinery, equipment and in the facility. This position is also responsible for the day to day maintenance and upkeep of the interior and exterior of the facility.

• Assess equipment and recommend an appropriate course of action.
• Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with an emphasis on the Company’s interests.
• Maintain and repair powered material handling equipment, pick carousels, conveyors and other automation equipment.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

• Troubleshoot escalated technical problems and complex mechanical issues including; repairing material handling equipment such as forklifts and warehouse equipment such as picking carousels, conveyors, shrink-wrap machines and inventory racks.
• Perform repair and maintenance duties to the interior and exterior building structure including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, framing, roofing, painting, and other general construction.
• Perform preventive maintenance of rolling stock and equipment as required.
• Observe and promote established safety procedures.
• Prioritises maintenance of red tagged equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories as required.
• May perform other projects and tasks as assigned.

Minimal instruction is provided on some, but not all tasks to be performed, and work is periodically checked or inspected upon completion. In addition, some tasks and projects may be assigned which may last several days or longer without direct supervision, and only general direction or guidance may be provided to check completion status, quality of work and adherence to specifications.

Although this position generally does not directly supervise other partners, this position may provide functional guidance, work direction and training to lower level Maintenance Technicians.

The minimum educational background is a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED), and either a technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or related field is required.
