Job Description

The Aviation Overnight Supervisor of Janitorial Services is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance operations within an airport facility. This role ensures that all janitorial services meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with airport regulations.

Schedule

Overnight | 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Pay

$20.50 / hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage janitorial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with airport safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Oversee daily cleaning operations in terminals, restrooms, lounges, baggage areas, and other airport facilities.
  • Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with airport management and other departments to ensure janitorial needs are met.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
  • Enforce health and safety policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Respond to urgent cleaning requests and resolve any customer or passenger complaints regarding cleanliness.
  • Train and mentor janitorial team members, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency.
  • Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
  • Valid State Driver's License for a minimum of 1 year.
  • 21+ years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial services, preferably in an aviation or large facility environment.
  • Knowledge of airport security and safety protocols.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Work Environment
  • Fast‑paced airport setting, requiring frequent walking and standing.
  • May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and airport noise.
  • Requires adherence to airport security protocols, including background checks and security clearance.
