Sanitation Attendant – UT Southwestern (

Location:

Zale). The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in food service and facility operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.

• Complete and maintain all job performance requirements and criteria as established in the Career Ladder Program.
• Adhere to standards outlined in the Disciplinary Points Section.
• Deliver patient food cards to floors on service elevators and collect patient tray carts after meals, returning them to cart room.
• Clean and fill pot washer; sanitize all cooking utensils, pots and pans used in kitchen and retail operations.
• Return items to their proper storage location.
• Sweep and mop specified kitchen areas and the cafe; move portable equipment to ensure proper cleaning.
• Collect, process, and dispose of trash, transporting it to the disposal area while following proper compactor procedures.
• Clean the tray return room in the cafe; strip and deliver trays, china and flatware to the kitchen for washing; return restocked dishes and trays to the cafe in a timely manner.
• Perform all cleaning and restocking duties as specified in the Time and Duties.
• Participate in educational programs and in‑service meetings; attend meetings as required.
• Notify supervisor of equipment issues; assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Monitor and document equipment temperatures according to established procedures.
• Assist on patient tray line as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service sanitation or equivalent sanitation experience.
