Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating and executing the field‑based pipeline Damage Prevention Program, performing One Call/Line Locating and Aerial Patrol Programs, responding to calls during scheduled on‑call rotation, and providing emergency response support within the Dallas and Frost areas.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Safely and effectively perform damage prevention and public education tasks and procedures while positively representing the Company to the community and stakeholders.
  • Ensure One Calls, line locates, and aerial patrol activities are completed within specified time frames.
  • Work with the One Call group to improve performance measures in mapping, county notes, and field‑cleared tickets.
  • Respond to after‑hour calls during scheduled on‑call rotation.
  • Address real‑estate/right‑of‑way issues and encroachments by collaborating with Company Real Estate representatives and subject‑matter experts.
  • Research, stay current on industry Damage Prevention and Common Ground Alliance best practices, and report findings for incorporation into Company standards and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable of state one‑call laws and participate in developing and describing steps required to safely complete an effective Job Plan.
  • Assist in maintaining inspections, licensing, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment under the Vehicle and Driver training programs.
  • Maintain all documentation, permits, and work records in an organized manner for the required retention time.
  • Participate in the facility emergency response team and support applicable Incident Command structures.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including the System Integrity Plan (SIP) and OQ requirements, and implement them into location work practices.
  • Attend and actively participate in safety training meetings.
  • Assist Operations with general maintenance duties, including line pigging, as directed by the supervisor.
Education

High School Diploma required. A college degree or a two‑year degree from an accredited vocational/technical school is preferred.

Work Experience
  • At least three years of related work experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of refined and crude product characteristics.
  • Experience in pipeline construction preferred.

  • Compile and/or examine information and select the best action from defined alternatives.
  • Handle complex issues requiring substantial analysis or independent judgment.
Licenses and Certifications
  • DOT Operator qualification in applicable tasks required.
Physical Demands
  • Sedentary work with occasional light lifting, carrying, or pushing of up to 10 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, sitting, and other movements as described in the original detail.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers for manual dexterity, including reaching, holding, and operating equipment.
  • Frequent talking, hearing, and visual tasks.
  • Exposure to well‑lit, climate‑controlled areas, outdoor weather conditions, dust, fumes, gases, and repetitive motion.
  • Use of computer monitors continuously.
Working Conditions
  • Work occurs in and around Dallas and Frost, TX, primarily indoors; may be outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Frequent exposure to dust, fumes, gases, and repetitive motion.
Travel

Travel primarily in and between the Dallas and Frost, TX areas; limited overnight travel may be required.
