School Custodial Cleaner

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K‑12 school, college, or university campus environment.

$12.00–$12.00 per hour.

Full time: days.

• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors.
• Regularly check and empty trash receptacles.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Notify lead cleaner or manager of needed repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co‑workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
• Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
• Polish hard surfaces such as woodwork and stainless steel.
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or using hand trucks.
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Sweep, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Maintain restroom cleanliness and polish as needed.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required; on‑job training provided.
• High school diploma, GED, or college degree not required.

• Prior customer service experience.
• One (1) year of prior similar work experience.
