Facilities Maintenance Mechanic – Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital – 3rd Shift
Salary
: $25 to $38 per hour.
Shift Differential applies.
Job Summary
:
Performs a variety of maintenance duties. Works the 3rd shift (11:30 pm–7:00 am Sun–Thu) with additional on‑call hours as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment sets, replace plumbing fixtures, rod drains and pipes, identify and stop leaks, rebuild flush valves.
- Supervise and make adjustments to the building automation system for patient/staff comfort.
- Test and inspect generators, replace light fixtures and bulbs, replace ceiling tiles, and respond to general building issues.
- Use drawings, wiring diagrams, and O&M manuals for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing.
- Coordinate specialized work with vendors and contractors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on emergency power system, emergency lighting, ice machines, refrigerators, HVAC equipment, and other building systems.
- Conduct building and mechanical room inspections per the maintenance program.
- 3–5 years of related experience as a maintenance worker/technician.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks.
- Driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems.
