Job Description

This part-time janitorial role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and professional appearance of multiple commercial properties within a 20-mile radius. You will travel between assigned locations using your personal vehicle, performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure each site consistently meets established standards. All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided and stored at each job site, and a weekly gas card helps offset fuel expenses related to travel.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas to maintain a hygienic and professional environment.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust designated areas, including floors, surfaces, and fixtures.
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and manage waste according to established procedures.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and entryways to ensure a clean and welcoming appearance.
• Restock paper products, soap, and other consumable supplies in restrooms and common areas.
• Follow sanitation and disinfection procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
• Perform floor care tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and other required floor maintenance activities.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to management promptly.
• Ensure each assigned site consistently meets cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance standards.
• Travel between multiple commercial locations throughout the workday using a personal vehicle.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while managing time and tasks effectively.
• Lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment as needed to complete cleaning duties.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning roles.
• Proficiency in general cleaning and industrial housekeeping practices.
• Experience with commercial cleaning and custodial maintenance in professional environments.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation and disinfection procedures.
• Ability to perform floor care, including mopping, sweeping, buffing, and waxing as required.
• Skill in restroom cleaning and sanitization, including fixtures and high touch surfaces.
• Experience with trash removal and waste management processes.
• High attention to detail to ensure spaces are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
• Valid driver s license and reliable personal vehicle for travel between job sites.
• Ability to travel between locations within a 20-mile radius.
• Ability to lift 25-40 pounds and perform physical cleaning duties.
• Ability to stand, bend, walk, and move throughout the shift.
• Strong attendance and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
