The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of church facilities, building systems, vendors, contracts, and community partnerships. The Operations Manager provides long-range facilities planning, ensuring that building needs are anticipated, addressed proactively, and incorporated into future budgeting and capital improvement plans.
Key Responsibilities Facility OperationsMonitor and provide troubleshooting for the building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, internet, and security systems.
Review HVAC schedules daily and coordinate building usage to ensure facilities are appropriately heated and cooled for worship services, meetings, and events.
Manage facility access and door schedules.
Work with the Facility Manager to ensure all maintenance and custodial needs are completed.
Implement and Review Safety and Security protocols including City and State building inspections.
Regularly assess the condition of church buildings, grounds, and major systems to identify future maintenance and replacement needs.
Serve as primary liaison with outside vendors and contractors.
Solicit bids and negotiate service agreements when appropriate.
Review and monitor leases and facility use agreements with community partners.
Community Partner & Event CoordinationServe as the primary contact for community partners and facility users, evaluating and approving facility use requests, ensuring alignment with church policies, and mission.
Coordinate facility logistics for outside groups and special events.
Reports to :
Board of Trustees, with oversight by the Senior Pastor
This is a part-time position salaried position with an expected workload of 20 hours/week. The Operations Manager serves in an on-call capacity for urgent facility and operational needs and must be available to respond to time-sensitive issues that arise outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
$25,000–$30,000 annually, based on experience
