Maintenance Planner
This role supports a fast-paced food manufacturing facility by planning and coordinating maintenance activities, ordering and managing parts, and organizing the storeroom. You will work closely with the maintenance team to manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensure equipment reliability through effective scheduling and preventive maintenance planning.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment in a food manufacturing environment.
- Order, track, and manage maintenance parts and supplies to ensure availability for scheduled and unscheduled work.
- Organize and maintain the maintenance storeroom, including inventory control, labeling, and proper storage of parts and tools.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to manage and update the CMMS, including creating, assigning, and closing work orders.
- Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed on time and documented accurately in the CMMS.
- Support maintenance technicians by providing required parts, documentation, and work order information.
- Assist in identifying recurring equipment issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize production downtime and support continuous operation across multiple shifts.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance leadership to prioritize work and align maintenance schedules with production needs.
Essential Skills
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience, including at least 1 year in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician working with production equipment.
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Experience with hydraulics, including troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in performing repairs and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Experience using or supporting a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

- Background in food or beverage maintenance operations.
- Strong organizational skills for managing parts inventory and storeroom layout.
- Ability to collaborate with a small maintenance team across multiple shifts.
- Attention to detail in documentation, recordkeeping, and inventory management.
- Comfort working in a structured maintenance program focused on preventive maintenance.

Work Environment
The facility operates as a high-volume food manufacturing plant with approximately 150 employees in production and a dedicated maintenance team of about six people. Maintenance support is needed across two shifts, with roles available on both first and second shift, operating Monday through Friday with additional coverage every other weekend as needed. You will work around food production equipment and collaborate closely with production and maintenance staff in a structured, team-oriented environment that relies on organized storerooms, CMMS tools, and standard industrial maintenance practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr. DP, dental, medical, 401k match, vision, pto, multiple shifts, promote from within
