About the RoleBatch Plant Operator (Portable
B)
Responsibilities may include performing batching function, communicating with central dispatch regarding daily driver and equipment status, maintaining inventory levels, operating plant processing equipment, enforcing all company policies that pertain to operations, safety and environment, providing work direction to the workforce at assigned location(s), and reporting all key performance indicators accurately and timely. This job will be located near DFW airport;
Dallas will be the closest stationary location.
- Use computer or manual controls to efficiently batch product with the proper mix, making necessary raw‑material and moisture adjustments.
- Communicate with drivers to complete customer orders, schedule deliveries, complete paperwork, and perform small plant maintenance; may operate front‑end loader or other material‑handling equipment to charge plant with aggregate, sand or other materials.
- Provide leadership and/or guidance to less experienced employees on more complex or heavier assignments, coordinate work to ensure plant work is completed promptly and in order of priority, and may train new employees.
- Ensure that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed at all times.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communication, improvement and adherence to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments, promoting a culture of safety and exhibiting these behaviors.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Professional Experience (Required): 1‑3 years of related customer service or dispatch environment experience.
- Computer
Skills:
Dispatch systems, Personal Computer, Telephone and Telephone Headset. - Basic computer and mathematics skills
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb on equipment, stairs, and ladders as needed
- Ability to walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground conditions) and enclosed spaces
- Work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, and/or dusty conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays and overnights.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
