Roving Maintenance Technician / Project Specialist

Location:

North Dallas / Plano, Texas
Home Base:
Greyson's Gate Apartments

Compensation: $24–$28 per hour (based on experience), plus monthly performance bonuses

Estimated Time: 10–15 minutes

What You Will Do
  • Perform maintenance repairs and service requests at multiple Gaines Investment Trust communities
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general maintenance issues
  • Complete work orders efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine property inspections
  • Assist with apartment turns, including painting, cleaning, repairs, and preparing homes for new residents
  • Support apartment renovations, capital improvement projects, and special assignments
  • Maintain pools, amenities, common areas, and community curb appeal
  • Communicate professionally with residents regarding maintenance requests and project updates
  • Coordinate repair priorities with onsite property management teams
  • Work alongside maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors on specialized repairs
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the portfolio
What You Will Bring

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Residence within the North Dallas/Plano area
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • HVAC Certification (Required)
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification (Required)
  • Three or more years of multifamily or related maintenance experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, painting, and pool maintenance
  • Experience performing routine property inspections
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across different communities
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple onsite teams
  • Availability for rotational on-call responsibilities and occasional after-hours emergencies
  • English fluency
