Custodial And Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Under the direction of Assistant Superintendent-Business Services, plan, organize, control and direct daily custodial and grounds maintenance operations and activities; create and participate in various construction planning and development activities; plan, organize, control and direct; coordinate personnel and communications to meet needs and assure smooth and efficient activities; train and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by college level courses in maintenance administration and control. Five years increasingly responsible experience in maintenance, repair and construction of buildings and grounds, including two years in a lead or supervising capacity. Experience can be substituted for college level coursework. Valid California driver's license.

ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor environment. Emergency call-out. Driving a vehicle to conduct work. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Hearing and speaking to exchange information and make presentations. Seeing to inspect work. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate assigned equipment. Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching. Standing or walking for extended periods of time.
