Join our team and make a direct impact in your community! The State of Connecticut, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), is accepting applications for two (2) Maintainer positions.
Position Highlights- Schedule:
Part‑Time (34 Hours), Tuesday‑Friday (6:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.) and Saturday (6:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M.) - Locations:
Wethersfield (floater may cover other branches) and Danbury

As a Maintainer you will learn all aspects of DMV processes, including handling license plates and forms. The selected candidate will be responsible for custodial work, performing minor maintenance repairs, landscaping, and using a computer for inventory purposes.
Responsibility- Perform custodial duties such as cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and cleaning floors
- Maintain records for shipping and receiving (inventory)
- Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for inventory and record keeping
- Perform minor maintenance on tools and equipment
- Assist with landscaping and grounds care as needed
- Any experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities listed for this role
- Experience with custodial duties
- Experience with inventory and record keeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with building maintenance and facility grounds landscaping
Incumbents in this class may be required to possess and retain appropriate current licenses, permits, and/or certifications.
Physical RequirementsIncumbents must have adequate physical strength, stamina, agility, visual and auditory acuity to perform duties. May be required to lift moderate to heavy weights and operate equipment. Physical examination may be required.

- May be required to complete asbestos removal training and use protective equipment
