Aircraft Maintenance/ Mechanic
- Responsible to have a thorough knowledge of and compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations;
Aeronautical Information Manual;
Geisinger’s General Operations Manual guidelines, and General Maintenance Manual as applicable. - Performs daily inspections to assigned aircraft.
- Performs reviews of aircraft and aircraft records.
- Documents discrepancies and makes repairs per applicable manuals.
- Performs repairs and maintenance activities to the assigned aircraft.
- Updates and maintains maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts books, and regulatory updates, and other technical directives as required and or directed.
- Coordinates ordering, shipping, and receiving of parts, supplies, tooling and warranty claim parts with the program base of operations.
- Coordinates aircraft maintenance scheduling.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Prepares and maintains documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations.
- Corrects any hazardous or unsafe practices as reports them accordingly.
- Completed Manufacturer Basic Engine and Airframe Course for Fleet Model Aircraft
- Holds and maintains FAA Inspection Authorization Credentials
Works in a patient care environment in and around aircraft and is exposed to possible infectious diseases and chemical toxins. Position may require sitting for long periods of time in a helicopter or in an office environment. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Exposed to non-conventional motion, noise, vibration, jet fumes, and extreme temperatures. Working conditions in or near aircraft and/or an aircraft hangar environment on a daily basis and may be exposed to loud aircraft noise, fumes, gases, odors, dust particles, and mechanical and electrical hazards.
