Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Summary
The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment and help realize equipment modifications and changes.
Responsibilities- Prioritize and manage maintenance workflow and tooling needs with the management team.
- Perform preventative maintenance on selected equipment, updating and maintaining the preventive maintenance program.
- Resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner and communicate concerns to the management team.
- Identify problem areas and safety hazards and work with the management and safety teams and associates to resolve them.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Parker’s regulations.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and order tools and supplies.
- Exercise good housekeeping in the maintenance department, 5S, and safety practices.
- Perform and train Lock-out/Tag-out procedures under the direction of the Safety Coordinator.
- Understand and support corporate and division Lean Initiatives and cost reduction programs.
- Participate in and support problem solving in the moment and on teams.
- Fabricate simple solutions when necessary.
- Work overtime as deemed necessary.
- Perform other duties to support the business.
Education required: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Mechanical and maintenance experience required; electrical experience a plus.

Good organizational and PC skills, preferred.

- Excellent math and measuring skills necessary.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, helpful.

- Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual, and audio attention.
Physical Requirements: High School diploma or GED preferred.
Assessment: Previous experience in manufacturing preferred.
Organizational Relationships / Scope- Report directly to Process Engineer.
- Communicate and work on teams with production associates and management about needed maintenance with support and supervision from the maintenance manager. Works with contractors and suppliers on a limited basis.
- High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.
- Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels.
- Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection).
- Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting are performed on a regular basis.
- Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions.
- Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime.
Sunday - Friday 10:00PM - 6:00AM.
OT as needed.
Occasional mandatory 9‑hour days.
Pay$27.18 - $33.54.
