7-hr Custodian - Williams Middle School

Shift: 4:45 pm - 12:15 am

New Hire:
Entry Level Rate $18.17/hr current employees with seniority in the bargaining unit should refer to the Salary Schedule established by the bargaining unit.

• Vacuum all areas – hard & soft surfaces
• Wipe down surfaces
• Take out trash
• Reposition furniture correctly
• Dust/vacuum ceiling vents
• Vacuum upholstered furniture
• Assist with deep cleaning during break periods – stripping, scrub & recoat, cleaning restrooms, glass, and furniture
• Remove snow
• Conduct minor grounds keeping
• Lawn mowing
• Assist with delivery of supplies
• Properly maintain equipment
• Report maintenance issues to Head & Lead Custodian
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to lift & carry up to 56 lb.
• Ability to climb up to an 8-ft ladder and perform custodial tasks (e.g., cleaning light fixture)
• Ability to climb steps and work on uneven ground
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions
• Must meet all general qualifications listed in the custodian job description of the Davenport Community School District

• Must have high school diploma or GED
