Full-Time Housekeeper Floor Technician

Sunday to Thursday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

The Pines at Davidson is hiring Housekeepers for day shift to maintain the cleanliness of our beautiful facilities, which are nestled on 140 acres of woods and wildlife, all within a quiet, residential college town. • High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong work ethic to perform consistently and on time all duties and responsibilities.
• Willing to respectfully take orders from the chain of command daily, as requirements change.
• Able to pivot to other duties quickly under emergencies, then resume former tasks without direction.
• North Carolina Driver’s license.

• General facility and campus cleaning and general maintenance.
• Removes and maintains trash and recycling receptacles around the facility. Picks up resident and campus trash daily, moves trash in appropriate containers/carts, and deposits trash into large refuse receptacles. Gathers and places recycling containers in designated areas for city pickup and returns them when emptied.
• Ability to perform floors, stairwells, and grounds cleaning throughout the campus, including carpeting, VCT, LVP, hardwoods, concrete, bricks, and brick pavers.
• Perform minor repairs to torn carpet or flooring edging to eliminate trip hazards and unsightly aesthetics.
• Ability to operate and properly maintain floors and grounds cleaning equipment, including carpet crabbers, floor cleaners, vacuums, pressure washers, shop vacs, leaf blowers, hoses, etc.
• Respond on an as needed basis to emergency calls to assist health care professionals with responding to resident health events.
• Respond immediately to FM radio or other calls to assist medical professionals with casualty response. The primary need is to drive and provide assistance to the medical professional until appropriate help arrives.
• Move new and disposed furniture, equipment, and supplies with proper moving equipment and assistance as needed.
• Cleans HVAC supply diffusers in ceilings, walls and floors to ensure cleanliness and proper flow of air is maintained.
• Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of laundry rooms and floors, bathroom floors, pantry floors and associated equipment throughout the facility.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle and golf cart.
• Performs other special duties as required.

• Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, stoop, and climb.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Adequate hearing ability to discern alarms and safety warnings.
• Maintain neat personal appearance and proper hygiene.
• Maintain proper attitude and conduct using correct language and vocabulary.
