About Crossroads
Crossroads Church is a growing multi‑site, interdenominational church located in Ohio and Kentucky, with plans to expand to additional cities. It also has an online presence serving thousands of people.
About the RoleThe Building Operations Team Member is responsible for the maintenance of Crossroads’ sites, handling building and equipment emergencies on an ongoing basis and delivering a well‑maintained facility to be used by Crossroads and outside parties.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair activities for building and equipment.
- Perform skilled preventive maintenance in areas of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting.
- Conduct regular building inspections and prepare the necessary work order requests.
- Respond to inquiries and requests by building tenants and resolve any problems or issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor building schedule and provide needed support for non‑staff tenants hosting events on Crossroads property.
- Guide cleaning contractors and ensure their services meet Crossroads cleaning standards.
- Recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams.
- Manage and maintain all event support properties (i.e. folding chairs, tables, etc.).
- Protect all entities’ (including Crossroads) value by keeping information confidential.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the vision and mission of the entities including Crossroads.
- Attend regular ministry team meetings, all‑staff meetings and participate in additional meetings when requested.
- Perform other duties as requested by manager and leadership.
Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience/
Skills:
General residential/commercial maintenance knowledge is essential; at least 3 years of experience performing general maintenance or in a similar role is preferred. Excellent project management skills are required. Able to work with a minimum of supervision while understanding the necessity for communication and coordinating work efforts with other staff and organizations. Possesses strong organizational, communication, and decision making skills. Ability to lead volunteers and volunteer teams in the execution of projects is essential.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally the job requires 20% sitting, 30% walking, and 50% standing.
Scheduling / Travel RequirementsTravel between properties will be required.
