Hours:

40 per week

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Work independently under general supervision on challenging assignments.
• Consult with Technician 3 and Supervisor on unique or uncommon problems.
• Share expertise and support teammates to further develop skill sets.
• Support team decisions by following through with assigned responsibilities.
• Interpret information, ideas, and instructions accurately.
• Ensure compliance with the safety management program to maintain a hazard‑free environment.
• Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and effective teamwork among all hospital staff.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and all hospital divisions and departments.

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Minimum 8 years of maintenance or construction experience.
• Strong commitment to the hospital’s values of safety, compassion, pride, collaboration, innovation, and respect.

• Associate’s degree or trade school degree.
• At least 4 years of experience at Dayton Children’s Hospital.
• State of Ohio Registered Apprenticeship Program or fire protection license.
• Medical gas ASSE 6040 or ASSE 6010 certification.
• Experience with HVAC, building automation systems, air balance, air handler maintenance, chillers, and ice machine maintenance.

Shift: 7:00AM – 3:30PM
Rotating weekends and holidays; occasional off‑shift work may be required.
