Entry level in the custodial occupation requiring some knowledge of cleaning equipment and procedures; under immediate supervision, cleans County facilities.
Responsibilities- Collects trash and transports it to compactor or dumpster.
- Cleans and dusts furniture and other surfaces, such as windowsills, doors, blinds, door jambs, TV's, mirrors, filing cabinets and desks.
- Maintains restrooms, including stocking paper towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers.
- Vacuums carpets; sweeps and mops floors.
- Performs special cleaning projects, such as washing windows, thorough room cleaning, washing blinds and defrosting refrigerators.
- Moves boxes, furniture and equipment.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Equivalent to eighth grade plus three (3) months general custodial work.
- May be required to have valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
