Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer to support the maintenance and daily operations of a commercial office complex. This hands‑on role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, responding to service requests, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained environment for tenants and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain HVAC systems by replacing filters and belts, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting Building Automation Systems (BAS) and pneumatic controls.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain automatic doors, key lock systems, lighting, and other building components.
- Perform plumbing repairs, including toilets, sinks, faucets, and related fixtures.
- Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and other lighting components throughout the facility.
- Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and tenant service requests while providing excellent customer service.
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and preventative maintenance services.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), when applicable.
- Support emergency response efforts and participate in an on‑call rotation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and building operating procedures.
- 5+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
- Experience supporting commercial office complexes or multi‑tenant commercial buildings.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- HVAC systems (filters, belts, BAS, pneumatic controls)
- Electrical and lighting maintenance
- Plumbing systems (toilets, sinks, faucets)
- Automatic door systems
- Key lock and access hardware
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of commercial building systems.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- EPA Universal Certification or HVAC certification preferred.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
- Experience using a CMMS/work order management system.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
