This full-time Janitor role is an on-site position located in the Dayton Metropolitan Area. The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of agency buildings, including common areas, offices, restrooms, and community spaces. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and basic upkeep of floors, windows, and fixtures. The role may also involve restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, supporting setup and cleanup for meetings or events, and following safety and sanitation procedures.

The Janitor interacts respectfully with residents, visitors, and staff while ensuring a clean, welcoming environment that aligns with the agency’s mission of service to the community.

• Ability to perform Janitorial Services and Housekeeping duties, including routine cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining facilities.
• Strong Customer Service skills to interact courteously with residents, visitors, and staff in a community-focused environment.
• Willingness to participate in Training to learn agency procedures, safety practices, and proper use of cleaning equipment and products.
• Basic understanding of Sales or service-oriented skills helpful for communicating needs, supplies, or service requests in a professional manner.
• Ability to lift moderate weights, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform manual tasks safely.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and consistently.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is beneficial.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all community members.
