Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities- Assumes responsibility for maintenance of the racetrack and racing grounds; and greets and interacting with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner.
- Maintains the appearance of the track to maintain required standards; maintains plants, trees and shrubs and applies chemicals as needed under supervision.
- Operates a variety of vehicles, machinery and equipment to include tractor, pick‑up truck, and a variety of hand power and manual maintenance tools.
- Performs a variety of grounds maintenance duties to include weed treatment, painting, trash collection and operating of irrigation systems.
- Performs preventative maintenance as needed; and cares and maintains all light and heavy equipment.
- Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner.
- Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of track and ground maintenance.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
- Must be 21 years of age
- High school diploma and some grounds and maintenance experience
- Must maintain an Ohio Racing Commission license.
- Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
- Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
