Craftsperson – Facilities Maintenance (B Nights) –

B. Braun US Pharmaceutical Manufacturing LLC, Daytona Beach, FL

Performs all maintenance functions of production and support equipment in the assigned areas. Work includes routine inspection, repair, or replacement of defective or faulty parts on machines and related equipment, and additional responsibility for operation, repair, and maintenance of facility utility equipment, including boiler systems, chiller & cooling tower systems, HVAC equipment, air compressors, and other typical plant utility equipment. Requires installation, repair, and maintenance of facility & process equipment, and/or buildings & grounds.

B Night Shift, 6pm‑6am, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, every other Wednesday. Includes on‑call hours as needed and ability to work non‑standard schedules.

• Performs scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines and systems
• Repairs malfunction of machines, systems, and auxiliary equipment
• Routinely checks machinery and systems for signs of fault to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions
• Initiates improvement in functionality of machines and equipment to increase efficiency
• Demonstrates knowledge of the field’s policies, procedures, and practices
• Becomes the subject matter expert at higher levels of the job
• Documents activities accordingly
• Performs all maintenance of facility utility equipment (boilermaking, HVAC, chiller, etc.)

• Basic knowledge or exposure to facility systems such as HVAC, boilers, or chillers
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance concepts
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environment
• Exposure to SAP or other CMMS systems for work order management
• Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills
• Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems
• Forklift, scissor lift, or man lift experience (or willingness to be trained)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• 1+ years related experience or completion of required training and assessment at the appropriate level

• Moderate work – exerting up to 40 lbs of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, or up to 10 lbs constantly to move objects
• Constantly:
  Reaching upward and downward, push/pull, stand, visual acuity with or without corrective lenses
• Occasionally:
  Climbing stairs/ladders, finger feeling, kneeling/crawling, sitting, talking (ordinary, loud/quick)
• Frequently:
  Push/pull, reaching upward and downward, stooping/squatting, walking
• Constantly:
  Seeing (depth perception, color vision, field of vision/peripheral), standing
• Environmental conditions:
  
  Occasionally exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals (in most areas), gases, dust; constantly proximity to moving parts
• Noise intensity:
  Moderate; occasionally in office or warehouse environments; constantly in production/manufacturing environment
