Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Position Summary
Industrial Maintenance Technician I (IMT I) responsible for maintaining production equipment and machinery in proper operating order through preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and basic repair. This multi‑craft position involves exposure to improvement activities, facilitates a Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) environment, and supports machine ownership.
CompensationBase Pay: $29.50 per hour.
Shift Schedule- B‑Shift: 6:30 pm – 7:15 am (Sun, Mon, Tue, alternating Wed)
- B‑Shift: 6:45 pm – 7:30 am (Sun, Mon, Tue, alternating Wed)
- D‑Shift: 6:30 pm – 7:15 am (Alternating Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat)
- D‑Shift: 6:45 pm – 7:30 am (Alternating Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat)
- Work closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to maintain equipment.
- Check settings, gauge readings, HMI, and sensors to keep machines within specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and tightening components.
- Identify machine abnormalities through visual and audible observations; create scheduled repairs.
- Replace belts, filters, and other parts as needed; grease or lubricate fittings and motors.
- Conduct complex cleaning of dismantled equipment and reassemble according to OEM specifications.
- Apply personal protective equipment (PPE) including full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, glasses, mask, bump cap, and full hazmat suit with respirator as required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, flexible environment and quickly learn new tools/concepts.
- Proficient written and oral English communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for standard calculations.
- Successfully pass a Ramsay testing assessment.
- Quick learner of organizational production processes.
- Intuitive, adaptable, creative, collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team‑oriented mindset with openness to learning and guidance.
- 4+ years of experience.
- Completion of PECNA maintenance apprentice program.
- Prior exposure to a manufacturing/production environment.
- PLC experience.
- Resilient, self‑motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
