Job SummaryThe Facilities Technician - Level 3 supports facility operations by performing entry-level maintenance and facility support activities that ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained working environment. This role assists with preventive maintenance programs, completes assigned work orders, and supports senior technicians in the maintenance and repair of facility systems and equipment. The technician follows established procedures, maintains compliance with safety requirements, responds to operational needs, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts.
EssentialDuties Functional Operations
- Perform assigned maintenance and facility support activities through the MaintainX work management system, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Assist senior technicians with preventive maintenance, inspections, and facility-related projects while developing technical knowledge and practical skills.
- Conduct routine facility rounds to inspect building conditions, identify potential issues, and elevate findings to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Support facility reliability and operational continuity through basic maintenance activities, equipment setup, inventory management, and general facility support functions.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition to support operational efficiency, workplace safety, and 6S standards.
- Adhere to established safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while performing all assigned maintenance and facility support activities.
- Participate in on-the-job training and development opportunities to build technical knowledge, expand maintenance capabilities, and support career progression within the Facilities organization.
- Participate in on-the-job training to build technical skills within the functional area
- Support team members by following direction and reinforcing learned procedures as skills develop
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to support maintenance activities
- Communicate equipment status, issues, and completed work to supervisors and team members
- Support assigned facility operations and projects
- Follow established processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including NFPA
70E and PPE requirements. - Identify and report unsafe conditions and non-conforming materials.
- Maintain 6S standards and a clean, organized work environment.

- High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
- Trade school or vocational training in a technical field
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or related discipline
- Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) License
