Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Grounds Maintenance team! This is a temporary position on our summer grounds crew at the Home Office main campus.
Job Duties- General grounds work including mowing, trimming, pruning, mulching, watering, and litter removal.
- Operating equipment including zero turn mowers and other landscaping equipment.
- Irrigation work including fixing and adjusting sprinkler heads, digging and replacing pipe lines, investigating and solving watering issues.
- Maintenance of fleet vehicles including washing, detailing and transporting to maintenance appointments.
- Equipment maintenance including changing oil, sharpening blades, greasing as necessary.
- Shop maintenance including general cleaning, painting, parts acquisition.

- Adequate physical endurance and mechanical ability necessary to perform the job, including repeated lifting of approximately 50 pounds
- Must have a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Adaptable to changing priorities.
- Communicate in a positive and effective manner.
- Satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work independently, remotely and with minimal supervision.
- Be flexible for necessary schedule changes.
- Experience with handheld tools.
