Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)

Compensation: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour, based on experience
Position SummaryAndover Management is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment communities in a safe, clean, and attractive condition while providing excellent customer service to residents. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, unit turns, and assists with preventative maintenance programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs including:
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- HVAC troubleshooting and filter changes
- Drywall repair and painting
- Carpentry
- Appliance repair and installation
- Door, window, and lock repairs
- Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and repairs.
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriors.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities.
- Assist with snow removal, salting, landscaping, and other seasonal property needs.
- Work collaboratively with property management staff and outside vendors.
- Previous apartment maintenance, residential maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor, including climbing ladders, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
