Maintenance Assistant

At Riverside Commons, we are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team! As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall operations of our facility, including interior and exterior maintenance, electrical/plumbing work, light construction, drywall patch/paint, and coordinating scheduled service from outside vendors. If you are a  jack of all trades  with a strong sense of customer service and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

• Assist in overall plant operations, including interior and exterior maintenance
• Perform electrical/plumbing work, light construction, drywall patch/paint, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
• Coordinate scheduled service from outside vendors, including but not limited to HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing services
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless facility operations

• 2 years of prior maintenance experience in all areas (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
• Experience working with seniors and state/local agencies for inspections is a plus
• Prior work experience in a long-term care or other healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs
