** Description*
* ** RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* + Performs industrial/commercial type painting, refinishing and spraying to structures, furnishings, surfaces, equipment and roads.

+ Prepares walls, woodwork and other surfaces by stripping, patching, caulking, sanding, cleaning, or bleaching for finishing.

+ Moves and protects furnishings and floor coverings prior to painting area.

+ Posts wet paint signs where needed.

+ Strips surfaces of old finishes with chemical strippers; refinishes and protects furniture.

+ Stains and paints finish on cabinets, bookcases, and shelves by spraying, brushing, or using a cloth to achieve desired color and tone.

+ Paints structures and surfaces by applying coatings with brush, roller and/or spray in a uniform manner.

* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* + A high school diploma or equivalent.

+ Three years of commercial painting experience.

+ Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.

+ Some positions in this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
