Lead Custodian

Ensure campus spaces are safe and clean for students, employees, and guests. Positions available in academic and residential buildings to support student life, academic operations, and other events oncampus.

Starting Wage: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour

• The custodial staff maintains building appearance and cleanliness inall areas; lobbies, entrances, classrooms,offices, hallways,kitchens,conference rooms,staircases,study lounges; restrooms,and shower rooms.

  • Vacuum

  • Clean glass
  • Dust surface areas
  • Disinfect fixtures

  • Assistwithset-up forcampusevents
  • Snow removal
  • Maintain outside entrancesyearround
  • Recycling
  • Clean restroom andshow-room facilities
  • Floorcare
  • Other duties as assigned

• Education:
  • High Schooldiplomaand/orequivalentpreferredbutnotrequired
• Experience:
  • 1 year direct experience in custodial work
  • Mustbedetail orientatedandhave goodtimemanagementandorganizationalskills
  • Basic computer knowledgeandoperation
  • Provenabilityto workwithothers
  • Must beabletoreadsufficiently tofollow instructions, ability to mix appropriate chemical dilution ratio and understand directions for use
  • Abilitytocultivate anddevelopinclusiveandequitableworking relationships with students,faculty, staff,alumni, parents,and friendsof the college
