Job Purpose

The Area Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of heavy equipment across multiple locations. This role involves overseeing maintenance operations, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition to support the company's operational goals.

What You Will Do

Leadership & Supervision:
Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure timely and efficient repairs and servicing of equipment. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.

Maintenance Operations:
Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, cranes, and other machinery. Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately and in a timely manner. Coordinate with the operations team to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime.

Budget & Inventory Management:
Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for parts and services as needed.

Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the maintenance team.

Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and budget status. Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities. Implement corrective actions based on data analysis and feedback.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred. 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the heavy equipment industry. Skills Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair practices. Proficient in maintenance management software and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Pay Range: $105k - $115k + Full Benefits & Company Truck
